Biography

You probably will not see me on that Biography show anytime soon, so this will have to suffice for now. Yes, I am the one and only Steven Michael Bailey. No, wait, I am not the one and only Steven Michael Bailey. In fact I recently discovered that there is another guy named Steven Michael Bailey living in the midwest. That in itself is not weird, but coupled with the fact that he was born on the same day in the same year, that is getting weird. Not to mention the fact that his father has the exact same name also. On top of all that, the social security department gave us the same number to use. Talk about feeling like you are an important individual.

I have spent the majority of my short life in the small village of Peck, Michigan. It is ok, you can go ahead and laugh. You probably have never heard of it and I know that is a funny name for a town. The people who live there do not seem to mind though. I live in an old farm house with my mother. I also have a sister who is two years older than I am, who got married and moved out.

I attended Peck High School where I participated in many school activities and most of the sports that were offered to guys. I also attended the Sanilac County Science and Math Center where I studied advanced science and math and performed independent research projects.

I have recently finished my first year of undergraduate study at Alma College. With my spring term corse included, I have now completed 12 seperate courses and have 41 credits under my belt, including a faculty assisted independent research project. I mainly came to Alma College because I was getting a pretty good scholarship and I figured that it was an opportunity that I could never afford again. However, now that I am here, I am really enjoying the quality of instruction and the opportunities for discussions with professors. I am still not sure about what my major will be, but that is because I am still interested in a lot of different things that I do not want to give up. I have been giving it a lot of thought for the past few years and I am sure I will come to a decision in the near future.

You will now have an opportunity to look through some of my current academic work. I will warn you, some of it is probably a little different, but that is the way I try to make it. There may be another kid with my identity, but I am yet to find another person who thinks anywhere near the path my mind follows. Plus, what would life be if anything were the same anyway? You are also going to get some time to see some of the interests I have, but not even close to all of them.
