Searchbank (InfoTrac)
Overview database including book reviews and articles.
Periodical Indexes
Contains indexes for journals, arranged by topic, such as Index to Journals in
Communication Studies and Speech Index.
FirstSearch
FirstSearch is a collection of databases that provides citations and abstracts to
books and periodical and newspaper articles and all subject areas. Included
are indexes such as Humanities Index, Social Sciences Index, Psychological
Abstracts (PsychInfo), and a subset of Biological Abstracts. (quoted from the AC
Library Public Access Catalog) FirstSearch is located on any PAC computer in
the library, or on the AC Library homepage

This site provides access to the abstracts and full text of articles dealing with media. Topics include Gender & Ethnicity, Advertising, TV & Radio, and Media Influence, among others. An excellent resource for those studying various forms of mass communication and media.
